See Belgium without a rental car
Belgium is small. From Brussels, Bruges, Ghent and Antwerp are all within 1 hour 30 minutes by road. By train, you juggle timetables and changes. In a rental car, you drive, hunt for parking and pay for it. With a private driver, you sit back and go where you like.

Bruges: canals and the Belfry

Ghent: the castle and the Ghent Altarpiece
About 55 km from Brussels, or 45 minutes to 1 hour. Ghent combines a lively student city with medieval heritage. The Gravensteen castle stands in the centre, and St Bavo's Cathedral holds the Van Eyck brothers' Ghent Altarpiece. Half a day works; a full day lets you wander.
Antwerp: Rubens, diamonds and architecture
About 45 km from Brussels, or 45 minutes. The Cathedral of Our Lady holds several Rubens masterpieces. Antwerp Central is often called one of the most beautiful stations in Europe, and the MAS museum roof offers a view over the whole city.
Waterloo: the 1815 battlefield
About 20 km south of Brussels, or 30 minutes. Climb the 226 steps of the Lion's Mound and visit the Memorial 1815. Half a day is enough, leaving the afternoon free in Brussels.
Dinant and the Meuse valley
About 95 km from Brussels, or 1 hour 15 minutes. The citadel towers over the river Meuse and the collegiate church. Dinant is also the birthplace of Adolphe Sax, inventor of the saxophone.
